Our aim is to create an annual event for residents of the village, ‘Dumblies’, to participate in a Spring Clean for Dumbleton and to grow this into an annual event where villagers can come together to keep our village looking and feeling good with a social activity built in.

Sunday 24th May 2026.

The inaugural Dumbly Day on Sunday 24 May 2026 focussed on helping St Peters Church with a few hours of gardening, clearing and cleaning in heat wave temperatures (28-30C). A dozen volunteers including the DCS team were on hand to clear overgrown area, strim around graves and generally tidy up. Several large bags of vegitation were taken away.  

The St Peters team provide well earn and hugely enjoyed refreshement in the impressive church kitchen area to refuel and cool down for the remainder of the mornings work.
